SPEAKERS
Philippe Bailleur

Philippe Bailleur has been trained as an officer in the Belgian airforce. He started his career - in 1996 - as a Personnel Manager on an operational airforce base. After some years he entered the field of training and coaching and left the army. While working with a broad range of companies, he was confronted with their challenges and exactly this drove him to do research and develop new approaches. Now, more than 15 years later, he has developed several training tracks, written several books and developed a laser-sharp survey to support the development of teams. During his keynote, he will share insights that have been ripening for almost a decade ...

It sounds easy, empowering teams by inviting them to become more self-regulated but in practice, it doesn't seem to be that simple. To support the development of teams, you need to understand what is happening under the waterline and that's exactly what will be shared during this keynote.

Ichrak Marques

Ichrak Marques was simply the right person at the right place when she became the president of Toastmasters’ Club Lille, a club that was on sleep for over 3 months with only 3 inactive members.

Ichrak will share with us her experience on creating and managing energy within a sleeping club, that turned from 3 inactive members into 11 members in less than 5 months and growing!

Her ingredient: the team – do you think it’s enough?

Zsuzsanna Corridori

Zsuzsanna Corridori, DTM is a marketing manager by day and Toastmaster by night. She is a member of 4 clubs and has been serving on 4 club committees., District 59 Champion in Italian humorous speech and she has coached speakers of TEDxUCLouvain.

Continuing her work as Pathways Guide, this year she fills the role of Pathways Coordinator for Division B.  In that role she can bring us refreshing Pathways news. After 1 year and 3 months, how are we transitioning to Pathways?

She will also lead the workshop "Easy speak for club officers" today. If you know how to use Easyspeak, it will make meeting management effortless. How to assign speaking slots based on participation history? How to add a new venue, guest speakers or new members? How to set up agenda templates or modify them? Highly recommended for VP Education and useful for President and VP Membership. But everyone is welcome to ask questions!

The adaptable leader: Flex your style

This workshop is a game!

Building on on the DISC-communication styles, playing it will help you

  • gain higher awareness of your communication and leadership style.

  • identify the communication styles of those around you.

  • adapt to those styles - because that’s what a leader needs to do.

Let’s play.

During this workshop, participants will learn how to run the "Speaker to Trainer" program as well as the adult learning principles to keep in mind for any training session. Karel Reynders

Karel is the outgoing president of the Toastmasters Fonske Leuven club, a healthy club with almost 50 members. He claims no credit for this, but is simply happy that this club has allowed him to serve them for a year as their president. A few months before being elected as president, Karel embarked on a journey in which he visited 11 clubs and 3 area contests. This taught him two lessons. The first is that there is not one way to do things and that there shouldn't be. Everyone works in their own way and needs to carve out their own path, because another path won't work for them. The second is that he wanted to do his part to make his own club better, to learn from what he had seen in other clubs and apply those lessons to his own.
